2018 Land Rover Discovery SUV debuts at Paris Motor Show


2018 Land Rover Discovery will be showcased at the 2016 Paris Motor Show which opens its doors today.

Aiming to take on the most challenging of road conditions, 2018 Land Rover Discovery has arrived. This three-row seven seater SUV is built of lightweight aluminum resulting in weight loss of 480 kgs. This means, engine responds better, car handles better, while returning higher fuel efficiency.

Offered with a range of on-board comforts, high level of safety features and adaptability to diverse road conditions, the new Land Rover Discovery is priced from $49,990 (INR 33,21,085) in the US while in the UK it will be priced from £43,495. It will go on sale by May next year.


Measuring 4,970mm in length, 2018 Land Rover Discovery receives new front and rear bumper design, panoramic roof, 20” alloy wheels, LED headlight, aluminum trims on doors and fascia. It is presented in 17 exterior color options of Namib Orange, Silicon Silver, Fuji White, Santorini Black, Corris Grey, Indus Silver, Loire Blue, Aintree Green, Firenze Red, Scotia Grey, Kaikoura Stone, Montalcino Red, Yulong White, Farallon Black, Waitomo Grey, Carpathian Grey and Aruba.

Interiors will be seen in stadium seating arrangement and space enough to accommodate upto 7 adults. Sufficient baggage space, 9 USB ports and 3G Wi-Fi hotspots will be evident along with sports inspired steering wheel and leather upholstery.


The top-end HSE Luxury trim will sport advanced of comfort and safety features to include Park Assist, Blind Spot Monitor, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, Intelligent Speed Limiter, Driver Condition Monitor and Lane Departure Warning among others. A notable feature will be Intelligent Seat Fold mechanism that facilitates reconfiguration of second and third-row seats via controls, central touchscreen or smartphone.

Engine specifications across US will include 3.0 liter V6 petrol offering 340 PS power and a turbocharged V6 diesel engine offering 600 Nm torque. UK buyers can choose between a 2.0 liter Ingenium diesel engine and a V6 petrol engine. Expect the new Discovery to arrive in India in time for Diwali 2017.
