Mahindra is all set to launch their new MPV, Marazzo in India. The launch event is also going to be a global debut, where the car will be shown the first time. Ahead of launch, Mahindra is still testing the Marazzo MPV in Nashik, the city where the car will be built.
Launch event of the MPV is scheduled for 3rd Sep at the company plant in Nashik. 2018 Mahindra Marazzo prices will be revealed on that day itself, while deliveries will also commence from the same day.
Speaking about deliveries, bookings are now open at Mahindra dealerships. Marazzo being a premium MPV, Mahindra will be creating a new zone inside their current dealerships to give customers a premium experience.
However, unlike that is seen in the case of Maruti Suzuki, which has separate NEXA outlets, Mahindra premium zone will be created inside existing outlets. Having these premium zones well within the existing dealer showrooms, will not only save on building brand new dealerships, but will also allow all premium products of the company to be available pan India.
Mahindra premium zone will sport a different design theme as compared to the rest of the showroom. It will have virtual reality facility, allowing buyers to view all cars with accessories and in different color schemes. With personalization of vehicles also fast becoming a trend in the country, Mahindra is also allowing buyers to customize their cars prior to delivery, something which is currently being done by Tata Motors.
Speaking about the Marazzo, it is a luxury MPV which is being launched to rival Toyota Innova Crysta and Tata Hexa. With price expected to start in the range of Rs 11 lakhs, thereby undercutting the Innova Crysta diesel by about Rs 4-5 lakhs and the Tata Hexa by Rs 1-2 lakh.
Built on a completely new platform, the Marazzo MPV is offered in 7 and 8 seater option. Engine option expected is a diesel 1.5 liter generating 121 hp and 300 Nm. Transmission options are manual as well as automatic. It will have all the latest comfort and safety features – from touchscreen infotainment to cruise control, and from airbags to ABS.
