2018 Maruti Ertiga and Old Ertiga spied together at dealer – Photos leak all details

2018 Maruti Ertiga MPV will launch in India on 21st November 2018. Ahead of launch, the first units of the new Ertiga have already been shipped to dealerships from the company plant in Manesar. Here are the leaked photos which were clicked by Instagramer indra_fathan and Team BHP member drsnt. It reveals the India spec Maruti Ertiga in detail. Interiors and exteriors are completely revealed.

Maruti Ertiga, which is a highly popular MPV on sale in India, sees sales to the extent of 4,500 units per month. The current Ertiga has been on sale for the past 6 years and will soon get replaced by a new generation model. The new Ertiga will see some changes in features and size while engine specifications have also been augmented to offer better power and performance.

The 7 seater Ertiga was first on display at the 2018 Indonesia International Motor Show. It was noted for its enhanced dimensions which now stand 99 mm longer, 40mm wider and 5 mm taller than its earlier counterpart while wheelbase stays the same at 2,740mm. Increased length adds to more interior space especially where its third row seating is concerned. Photos of legroom in all rows has been also leaked in the gallery below.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is positioned on the Heartect platform which it shares with the Baleno, Ignis, Swift and DZire. It gets new exterior features with a larger grille with chrome accents, projector headlamps, new fog lamps in a C shaped design, license plate with chrome surrounds and 15” alloy wheels. Its design elements at the rear include new tail lamps and new spoilers.

Cabin comforts also get augmented with a beige color scheme and a 6.8” touchscreen infotainment system offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In compliance with new safety standards coming into effect in India from 2019, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is fitted with dual airbags, ABS, EBD and reverse parking sensors. Keyless entry, automatic climate controls, push button start and a multi function steering wheel will also be among its safety features.

2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga gets its power via a 1.3 liter diesel DDiS SHVS engine offers 90 PS power and 200 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. The 1.5 liter SHVS mild hybrid K15B petrol engine produces 105 PS power and 138 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual or 4 speed automatic. Once officially launched, Maruti Ertiga will take on the Mahindra Marazzo, Honda BRV and Renault Lodgy in terms of competition.
