2018 Skoda Superb SportLine with added features – India launch soon

A few days after launching the Corporate Edition, Skoda India has now teased the launch of a new variant of Superb – SportLine. Unlike the Corporate Edition, which is based on the entry level variant, the SportLine variant is based on the Style variant.

Skoda Superb SportLine is already available in UK market, and it is expected that the Indian variant will be quite similar to it in terms of design and features. This includes a sharper styling, new red colour, black grille, gloss black treatment on the headlight, and so on.

Teaser image released on Skoda India website looks quite similar to the UK version. However, there may be differences in engine configuration and gearbox to suit Indian conditions. In UK, Skoda has also launched a high-end variant called SportLine Plus. It’s not yet confirmed whether Skoda will be launching SportLine Plus variant in India.

In the UK, the new Skoda Superb SportLine gets a shorter ground clearance, to add to its sporty stance. The ride is lowered by 15 mm. But that might not happen with India-spec variant as here road conditions are not that great. You also get 19 inch optional dual tone alloys with the SportLine.

The diesel engine is 2.0 liter TDI generating 177 PS and 350 Nm via 6 speed DSG. Diesel engine does not get a manual option.

Standard features for Super SportLine in India include 8 airbags, ABS with EBD and BA, keyless entry, start/stop button, sunroof, automatic AC, etc. Expect price to be in the range of Rs 30 lakhs for the Skoda Superb SportLine.
