New BMW M5 Competition has been launched today. Available as a CBU, the vehicle is available across company dealership from today onward. BMW M5 Competition is available in a petrol variant at an ex-showroom price of INR 1,54,90,000.

Few and clear lines define design dynamism. BMW Individual High-Gloss Shadow Line emphasizes on athletic character. M kidney grille with grille frame, exterior mirror and M side air vent with M5 badging in Black high-gloss add to its visual character.

BMW M5 Competition has a lightweight, high-strength carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) roof. Rear apron and M rear spoiler in Black-high gloss are a signature element. M specific twin tailpipes in chrome trim accentuate visible and audible appeal. ‘Competition’ lettering is seen on the boot lid.

On the inside, M Multifunction sport seats wear a M5 logo. M seatbelts with multiple adjustment options optimise comfort while the colour scheme adds o exclusivity.

Double-spoke design M leather steering wheel hosts multifunction buttons. M Drive M1 and M2 buttons are to select settings when driving. Red start / stop button emphasises its motorsport character. M specific pedals and stainless steel foot rest deliver on sportiness.

BMW ConnectedDrive tech on offer Gesture Control, Display Key, Wireless Charging, Head-Up Display and Wireless Apple CarPlay. BMW Live Cockpit Professional run son the brand’s latest Operating System 7.0 with 3D Navigation and a high-res instrument cluster. Thre’s a 12.3” screen, and a control display measuring 10.25”. A Harman Kardon surround system with 16 loudspeakers and 600 Watts of output enlivens the experience.

Driver assistance systems feature Rear View Camera along with Park Distance Control (PDC) rear and front and Parking Assistant. M TwinPower Turbo 8-cylinder petrol engine returns max output of 460 kW/625 hp at 6000 rpm, and peak torque of 750 Nm mated to 8-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic for short shifting timings and wideranging shifting options. BMW M5 Competition goes from 0 to 100 km/hr in just 3.3 seconds. Manual gear shifting is possible with the with the gear lever, or via gearshift paddles on the steering wheel.
