The 10th-generation Accord is set to enter Thai showrooms soon. As compared to its earlier counterpart, the 10th gen Honda Accord sees a change in dimensions. It now measures 4879 mm in length, 1859 mm in width, and 1450 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2829 mm. It sits on 19 inch, 5 spoke alloy wheels and gets better ground clearance as compared to that seen on its earlier model.

2019 Honda Accord now sports a new design language with a revised front grille, dark black window tints, chrome band running across its front end from one headlamp to another. It also sports LED fog lamps and a central air dam while design elements to the rear include an integrated spoiler with C shaped tail lamps.

Interiors get updated with a large central console and a free standing infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Music system has been updated with a 450 watt 10 speaker audio system with subwoofer. It gets a semi digital instrument cluster and fresh upholstery on door panels, ambient lighting, 12 way adjustable driver seat with two position memory and 4 way power lumbar support, arm rests and central tunnel.

In terms of safety, apart from airbags and ABS, the 2019 Honda Accord gets a head up display, 360 degree camera, parking sensors at the front and rear, cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, wireless phone charging and Honda Smart Parking Assist System. The Honda Sensing suite consisting of autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning and road departure mitigation is also a part of its safety features.

New Honda Accord is powered by a 1.5 liter turbocharged iVTEC petrol 4 cylinder engine, offering 190 hp power and 243 Nm torque. It is also offered in hybrid format, powered by a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine which is combined with electric motors offering total output of 215 hp and 315 Nm (same as Accord Hybrid in India).

In India, the 9th gen Honda Accord is on sale. It was launched in 2016. But considering the car’s poor performance in sales (0 units sold in 2018), updated Accord might not be launched in India. Accord Hybrid is priced in India at a price of Rs 45 lakhs. It is sold as CBU.
