2019 Kawasaki Versys 650 launched in India – Price Rs 6.69 lakhs ex showroom

Kawasaki has introduced the 2019 Versys 650 in new color schemes as the company is gearing up to meet rising demand specially during the festive season. 2019 Versys 650 will now be seen in new Metallic Moondust Gray / Metallic Flat Spark Black shade, along with the regular silver/black and green/black paint options. Apart from these new color options there will be no change in mechanics.

Kawasaki Versys 650 is regaled for its on-road performance and rider comforts. It gets long travel suspension consisting of 41mm adjustable upside down front forks and adjustable monoshock at the rear along with 17” wheels. Its instrument cluster comes with gear position indicator while windshield offers a 2” adjustment for better wind protection.

Seating and handlebars offer the rider with a better upright riding position while its long range and sporty chassis ensure better off-road riding capabilities.

In terms of dimensions, the Versys 650 measures 2,165mm in length, 840 mm in width and 1,450mm in height. It gets seat height at 840mm and weight at 216 kgs while fuel tank is of 21 liter capacity. It gets dual semi floating 300mm petal discs with 2 piston calipers in the front and single 250 mm petal disc at the rear with single piston caliper.

Kawasaki Versys 650 is powered by a 649cc, parallel twin cylinder, liquid cooled engine offering 68 bhp power at 8,500 rpm and 64 Nm torque at 7,000 rpm mated to a 6 speed transmission. It is priced at Rs 6.69 lakhs in India and bookings are open at company showrooms.

Apart from the 2019 Versys 650, India Kawasaki Motors currently sells the Ninja 300, Ninja 400, Ninja 650, Z250, Z651 and Versys-X 300, Versys 650 & Vulcan S, Ninja 1000, ZX-10R and ZX-10RR all of which are assembled at the company plant in Chakan near Pune. The company has a total of 30 dealerships in the country from where each of the company’s motorcycle is on sale.
