2019 Maruti Baleno first LIVE photos from showroom – Variants detailed

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has updated the Baleno hatchback. Offered in four variants of Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha, 2019 Baleno facelift is now priced from Rs.5.45 lakhs for the base trim to Rs.8.77 lakhs for the top end trim. It will continue to be sold via NEXA showrooms and in petrol and diesel engine options.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift presented in color options of Pearl Arctic White, Premium Silver, Nexa Blue and Autumn Orange also gets two new colors of Phoenix Red and Magma Grey. Its cosmetic updates and on board equipment gets detailed variant wise as given below:

Maruti Baleno Sigma, priced from Rs.5.45-6.60 lakhs is seen with a new front grille in a 3D design. It also receives body colored bumpers, door handles and ORVMs along with LED combination lamps at the rear. Its interiors, seen in a color combination of black and blue receives feature updates such as power steering with tilt feature, adjustable front headrests, manual air conditioning system with heater and front two power windows. In terms of safety, the Sigma trim gets central locking, front and rear charging sockets, reverse parking sensors and speed alert system along with a driver and front passenger seat belt warning system and the NEXA safety shield.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno Delta carries a price range from Rs.6.16-7.48 lakhs. It gets full LED projector headlamps, electrically retractable and adjustable ORVMS with integrated turn indicators and wheel covers. Its interior features include automatic climate control, rear adjustable headrests, rear seats in a 60:40 split and rear wiper, washer and de-fogger and a 2 DIN audio system. Its safety features include auto up and anti pinch driver window, keyless entry, rear power windows and steering mounted controls.

The Baleno Zeta variant is priced between Rs.6.84-8.16 lakhs. It gets alloy wheels and front fog lamps along with plenty of chrome accents across its exterior to up its premium quotient. Interiors also get updated with a new color MID, new SmartPlay infotainment system, central arm rests, navigation via a smartphone and an auto dimming interior mirror. It is seen with a height adjustable driver seat and telescopic adjustment for steering wheel for better driver’s comfort along with push button start stop feature.

Top of the line Maruti Suzuki Baleno Alpha is priced from Rs.7.45-8.77 lakhs. Its exterior updates include automatic headlamps, premium LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED rear combination lamps, puddle lamps and follow me home lamps. It is also seen with premium interiors with a leather wrapped steering wheel, remote control via smartphone app with Voice commands and rear parking sensors.

No engine updates are seen on the Baleno facelift which continues to be powered by the same 1.2 liter, 4 cylinder petrol engine offering 83 hp power and 115 Nm torque with 21.4 kmpl as per ARAI tests. The 1.3 liter, 4 cylinder diesel engine capable of 75 hp peak power and 190 Nm torque. ARAI certified mileage of 27.4 kmpl. Both engines get mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox while only the petrol engine receives a CVT automatic. Like its predecessor, the Baleno facelift will also continue to rival the Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz and soon to be launched Tata 45X.
