Maruti Suzuki India Limited, having introduced the new Baleno facelift at a price of Rs 5.45 lakhs. They have also updated the RS variant of Baleno, with similar updates. 2019 Maruti Baleno RS is priced from Rs 8.76 lakhs, ex-sh.
2019 Baleno RS gets an updated front fascia. It receives a black front grille, a bold bumper design and the HID projector headlamps of the current Baleno RS, are replaced by LED projector headlamps on the new model.
The Baleno RS also gets a new fog lamp housing which will be different from the one seen on the Baleno facelift. It will sit on new alloy wheels. The rear features no major changes, and continues the same as before.
The interiors of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS will also see minor changes. These include new upholstery, host of premium features such as climate control, multi function steering wheel, push button start, reverse parking sensors and camera and auto dimming IRVMs.
The touchscreen infotainment system is also updated. It now gets a new housing, and an updated interface. Silver accents surrounding the AC controls and vents in the current Baleno RS get replaced by dark grey accent.
Both the Baleno and Baleno RS will remain unchanged in terms of engine specifications. 2019 Baleno RS facelift will continue to be powered by the 1.0 liter Boosterjet turbo petrol engine. This engine offers 102 PS power and gets mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. Fuel efficiency is at 21.1 kmpl.
Pricing of the new Baleno RS starts from Rs 8.76 lakhs, ex-sh. This is slightly more than the older Baleno RS, which was priced at Rs 8.69 lakhs. The Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS will continue its rivalry against other performance focused B segment hatchbacks that include the likes of Volkswagen Polo GT TSI, Tata Tiago JTP.
