2019 Mini John Cooper Works India launch price Rs 43.5 L

2019 Mini John Cooper Works facelift, which was first revealed in December 2018, have now been launched in India. It is a 3 door sporty hatchback, which is now added to the company lineup in India that consists of Mini Cooper, Mini Countryman, Mini Cooper Convertible and Mini Clubman.

Each of which are priced between Rs 29.70 lakhs and Rs 41.40 lakhs, making today’s JCW edition the most expensive MINI on sale in India. Sold as a CBU, the JCW is over Rs 9 lakh more expensive than the Mini Cooper S, which was the most expensive MINI on sale before today.

2019 Mini John Cooper Works is offered in two variants – hardtop and convertible. However, it is only the hardtop version that has been launched in India. The Mini John Cooper Works (JCW) facelift will be offered in a Moonwalk Grey metallic paint finish for the exterior and Carbon Black interiors.

The new JCW for India gets a sporty stance with LED head lamps with auto function, rain sensing wipers, 17” John Cooper alloy wheels and LED tail lamps sporting the Union Jack motif. In addition to this, you can also opt for 18 inch alloys, sunroof, Matrix LED lights.

Interiors will also follow a Carbon Black color scheme and gets Dinamica leather bucket seats, a black chequered dashboard and other driver and passenger comforts along with safety features such as ABS, cornering ABS, crash sensors, brake assist and stability control. It will also sport a new fuel particulate filter as part of its sporty exhaust which emits a throaty sound. There is also a new touchscreen infotainment system which is compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto as well as navigation.

The new JCW facelift is powered by a 2 liter turbocharged petrol engine offering 231 bhp power and 320 Nm torque mated to 8 speed automatic gearbox. Compared to the Cooper S, which is also powered by the same engine, the engine on board JCW is tuned to deliver 38 hp and 40 Nm more. It is also mated to 8 speed gearbox, instead of 7 speed DCT on Cooper S. JCW is capable of acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.3 seconds. It will also be seen with a sports braking system and John Cooper Works aerodynamic kit.
