2018 Maruti Swift AMT launched on top end variants of petrol, diesel – Price Rs 7.76 lakh

At the time of launching the Maruti Swift in India, the company did not offer AMT variants on top of the line Swift ZXi+ and ZDi+ variants. This meant, if you wanted AMT, you would have to miss out on features like SmartPlay infotainment system, projector headlamps with LED DRLs and so on.

That was done by the company to keep price range competitive. But seeing the huge demand, the car maker has now decided to launch the AMT variants with top-spec trim ZXi+ and ZDi+.

Top end variant of new 2018 Maruti Swift ZXi+ petrol AMT is priced from Rs 7.76 lakh while the diesel AMT top end is priced from Rs 8.76 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. Manual transmission ZXi+ is priced at Rs 7.29 lakhs while diesel ZDi+ variant is Rs 8.29 lakhs, ex-Delhi. This means the AMT variants are about Rs 50,000 more expensive on road.

Mr R. S. Kalsi, Senior Executive Director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India said, “Swift has always scored high on customers’ expectations. With the latest evolution, the all-new Swift has reached the next level of customer delight. AGS has been very well appreciated by our Swift customers.

We had customer feedback seeking convenience of AGS in the high-selling top-end variants. Accordingly, we are now offering AGS in the top-end ZXI+ and ZDI+ variants. This will further strengthen the brand Swift and enhance the popularity of Maruti Suzuki’s acclaimed two-pedal technology.”

Sales of Maruti Swift stands at an average of 20,000 units a month – making it one of the best selling car in the country. Affordable pricing, coupled with best in class features and mileage has allowed the Maruti Swift enjoy an unbeatable success in the country. New 2018 Maruti Swift rivals the likes of Hyundai Grand i10 and Volkswagen Polo in India.
