Bajaj Pulsar helps boost company sales in June 2019 to over 3.5 lakh

Bajaj Auto Ltd reports an uptick in July cumulative (domestic plus exports) sales for June 2019. Bajaj domestic sales is reported at 1,99,340 units, down 1 percent from 2,00,949 units sold in June 2018.

Exports are up 11 percent at 1,51,951 units in June 2019, up from 1,36,803 units reported in June 2018. Total sales are up 4 percent at 3,51,291 units, up from 3,37,752 units in June 2018. Bajaj two-wheeler business revolves around motorcycles. The scooter segment is one the manufacturer is currently not doing business in. That space is being developed under the Bajaj’s Urbanite operation. The first Bajaj Urbanite electric two-wheeler is expected to be a scooter.

For Q1 FY2019-20, Bajaj domestic sales are reported at 3 percent growth, up at 6,10,936 units, up from 5,94,234 units sold in Q1 FY2018-19. For the period, exports are up 8 percent at 4,71,691 units from 4,35,730 units sold in FY2018-19. Cumulative sales for the last 3 months are up 5 percent. Q1 FY2019-20 sales are reported at 10,82,627 units, up from 10,29,964 units sold in FY2018-19.

BAL commercial vehicle sales performance has been lower than that of its motorcycle wing. Domestic sales for June 2019 is down 11 percent at 29,885 units, down from 33,627 units sold in June 2018. Commercial vehicle exports for the month is down 29 percent. Down to 23,448 units from 33,050 units old in June 2018. Total CV sales for the month is down 20 percent. June 2019 sales is reported at 53,333 units, down from 66,677 units sold in June 2018.

For Q1 FY2019-20 domestic CV sales are down 9 percent. 86,217 units were sold, down from 94,431 units sold in Q1 FY2018-19. Exports for the quarter just concluded is down 23 percent. The company exported 78,330 units in the last three months, down from 1,02,246 units in Q1FY2018-19. Total BAL CV sales for the period is down 16 percent. CV sales volume stood at 1,64,547 units, down from 1.96,677 units sold in Q! FY2018-19.

Bajaj total sales from June 2019 is stable at 4,04,624 units compared to 4,04,429 units sold in June 2018. Bajaj (MC plus CV) domestic sales last month was down 2 percent. June 2019 domestic sales is reported at 2,29,225 units, down from 2,34,576 units in June 2018. Bajaj total exports for the month grew 3 percent. June 2019 exports are reported at 175,399 units. Up from 1,69,853 units in June 2018.

Bajaj update – Bajaj Auto has ended Q1 FY209-20 in the green. Total (MC + CV domestic plus exports) sales for the last three months is reported at 2 percent growth. Up at 12,47,174 units from 12,26,641 units sold in Q1 FY2018-20. Domestic sales for the first quarter of the current fiscal is up at 1 percent. FY 2019-20 sales are reported at 6,97,153 units, up from 6,88,665 units sold in Q1 FY2018-19. Exports is up at 2 percent for the same period. Total exports for Q1 FY2019-20 is reported at 5,50,021 units, up from 5,37,976 units sold in FY2018-19.

For June 2019, while domestic bike sales have held their own, exports have been favourable. This has helped Bajaj tide through in the green for June 2019.
