With 3 initial showrooms in Delhi, Mumbai and Gurgaon, Ducati India has formally kick started its local operations today. Please note that all prices will be released next week and prices mentioned in the article are expected figures, ex-showroom Delhi.
Ducati India showroom at GurgaonThe most affordable model in the flamboyant Italian stable would be attractively priced at INR 6.38 lakhs, thanks to India’s conducive trade agreement with Thailand where the motorcycle is made for global consumption. The bike is powered by a 803 cc monster-derived L-twin motor which is tuned to produce an adequate 75 PS and 68 Nm of torque when mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The immensely popular naked street fighter family from Ducati is also here with an estimated price range of INR 7-25 lakh. The duo is powered by 803 cc L-twin which produces 87 PS and 78 Nm of torque.
Ducati Monster 821New Monster 821, as the name suggests, employs 821 cc L-twin motor which is capable of 112 PS and 89.4 Nm of torque. Monster 1200 and 1200 S are also on offer.
The versatile Ducati Hypermotard would carry a base price tag of around INR 10 lakhs. The machine derives power from a 821 cc L-twin motor which puts out a healthy 110 PS and 89 Nm of torque.
Hyperstrada is essentially an accessorized Hypermotard with touring-friendly elements like a windscreen, panniers and a few ergonomic tweaks. The energetic tourer’s powertrain specs are identical to its sibling. It is expected to be priced at around INR 11.20 lakhs.
Ducati lineup is incomplete without the venerable Multistrada. Likely to be priced at INR 14-20 lakhs, the highly capable adventure tourer is powered by 1198.4 cc L-twin engine which delivers 160 hp and 136 Nm of torque.
The majestic power cruiser is reported to have a price range of INR 13.8 – 37.20 lakhs. In its Carbon avatar, Diavel boasts of several lightweight elements including carbon fiber wheels. The 1198.4 cc L-twin powerhouse has 162 PS and 130.5 Nm of torque on store. Range also includes super exclusive Diavel Titanium.
The supersports family includes 899, 1299, S and flagship R. The 899 employs a 898 cc L-twin which packs in 148 PS and 99 Nm of torque while the 1299, 1299 S and R adopt a 1,285 cc L-twin motor generating 205 PS and 144.6 Nm of torque. The R uses race-derived lightweighting to achieve a kerb weight of 162 kg. With a monocoque aluminium frame and myriad of electronic gadgetry, the Panigale family members are highly advanced track tools. Prices may range from INR 13.2 – 46 lakhs.
