Ford EcoSport Titanium+ Petrol MT launched – Price Rs 10.47 lakhs

Ford India has introduced the new end petrol manual variant of the EcoSport. Till now, the petrol manual top end variant was only offered with the Trend+. If you wanted to buy Titanium trim in petrol manual, it was not on offer. If you wanted the Titanium trim in petrol, you only had the option of buying an auto transmission option. But not any more.

New Ford EcoSport Titanium+ Petrol with manual transmission is now on sale for a ex-showroom price of Rs 10.47 lakhs. The launch of this new variant offers extra choice to customers and complying with customer’s demand for more enhanced features with the petrol variant.

The new Ford EcoSport Titanium+ Petrol MT gets added features over the Trend+ trim with 17” alloy wheels, 6 airbags, projector headlamps and LED DRLs. Interiors have also been revamped with an 8” touchscreen SYNC3 infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, tyre pressure monitoring system and cruise control. Safety features include ABS, EBD, Isofix anchors, reverse parking camera and automatic headlamps.

Priced at INR 10.47 lakhs, the Ford EcoSport Titanium+ Petrol MT gets its power from a new 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder, Ti-VCT petrol engine, naturally aspirated engine. This engine makes 123 hp peak power at 6,500 rpm and 150 Nm torque at 4,500 rpm mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox.

To date, the Ford EcoSport Titanium+ variant was offered only with a 6 speed automatic transmission but is now on sale with a manual gearbox and set to take on the Maruti Vitara Brezza and Tata Nexon along with the new sub 4 meter SUV from Mahindra set for launch later this year. This new petrol engine emits 7% lower CO2 and offers fuel efficiency to the extent of 17 kmpl.

Post the launch of new EcoSport, Ford has seen an increase in sales. For the last two months, EcoSport sales have averaged at about 6,000 units.
