Royal Enfield Himalayan gets KTM Duke 390’s engine. Wait, what? Really? Is that even possible? Yes. The images you see in this post, speak for itself. A couple of hours ago, these images popped up on the internet, and for those who are fans of either of the two bikes, the world is never going to be the same ever again.

Admirers / owners of Royal Enfield Himalayan have always wanted a bit more powerful engine, which is refined, punchy and reliable. At the same time, the Duke 390 crowd has always wanted a more comfortable setup of suspension and the ability to go off-road. For KTM Duke 390 fans, there is good news. KTM has confirmed that they will launch an adventure variant of the 390, probably in 2017. But for Royal Enfield Himalayan fans, there is not much hope.

So what does a Royal Enfield Himalayan owner do. He / she decides to install the engine of a KTM Duke 390 into his / her Himalayan. Brilliant. Problem solved. Check out the image gallery below for more images.

We are not yet sure who is the owner of this brilliant piece of jugaad, which is already the most-wanted bike to test ride as of now. It will be difficult to guess how the bike would work. Will the Himalayan’s chassis set-up be able to manage the power and torque delivered by the Duke 390’s engine?

Another interesting point to note is that the Duke 390’s engine in its current setup, is not fit for off-road environment. How has the owner tackled this issue? Well, we are equally clueless.
