Mahindra Marazzo India launch confirmed for 3rd September – Toyota Innova Rival

The Mahindra Marazzo MPV is the company’s first passenger vehicle to be co-developed by Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai along with its North American Technical Center. The Marazzo is set to come in with 7 and 8 seater configurations as is also seen on the case of the Toyota Innova. Launch is at the company’s Nashik plant on 3rd Sep.

Official images have been detailed showing off these interiors which show the 7 seater variant with captain seats for the second row while the 8 seater variant gets bench seats. In the 7 seater, the captain seats can be flipped forward to access the last row seats while the foldable bench in the 8 seater is of 40:20:40 split.

Interiors of Mahindra Marazzo are seen in a color combination of black and beige. It gets a T shaped dashboard with faux aluminum inserts, leather upholstery and a 7” touchscreen infotainment system featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Interior images also reveal AC vents for passengers in the front and roof mounted air con vents for rear passengers and a 3 spoke steering wheel with faux aluminum detailing. All variants will receive airbags, ABS, EBD and rear parking sensors as standard.

The exterior of the Marazzo is designed with inspiration from a Shark and is the company’s third product to be based on a monocoque chassis. These include shark teeth like grille inserts, shark tail inspired tail lamps and shark fin antenna. Though no engine specifications have been confirmed as on date, reports suggest that the Mahindra Marazzo will come in powered by a new 1.5 liter diesel engine generating 121 hp and 300 Nm.

Mahindra Marazzo will be slotted between the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Innova Crysta while in terms of pricing it should be range between Rs 12-15 lakhs. Once officially launched in India, Mahindra Marazzo will also compete with the Renault Lodgy.
