Powering the new and high performance GL 63 AMG is the 5.5 liter V8 biturbo powertrain, offering peak power output of 550 hp and peak torque of 760 Nm. This will allow the GL63 AMG to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.6 seconds. Power is delivered via the AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC seven-speed automatic transmission to the all 4 wheels (4Matic all wheel drive system).
Mercedes Benz claims that the new GL63 AMG is the most powerful SUV in country. It will sport spacious interiors with ventilated sport seats, an AMG steering wheel and Active Curve Control thus permitting the driver to tackle corners efficiently, without jerking and with least possible effort. Also to be seen on board the Mercedes Benz GL63 AMG will be a Bang & Olufsen audio system, Sirius satellite radio, panoramic sunroof and tri zone automatic climate controls.
The SUV gets standard features such as eco start/stop function, a high performance braking system and AG Ride Control sports suspension besides a speed sensitive sports steering system. It also receives an aero package with new front and rear aprons and matte silver chrome trim inserts and LED lights while it sits on 21” alloy wheels.
