New Honda Mobilio facelift makes global debut in Indonesia

2017 Honda Mobilio facelift has been launched in Indonesia. The new Honda Mobilio facelift receives exterior updates, interior modifications while powertrain specifications remain unaltered.

2017 Honda Mobilio facelift can be seen with a new front fascia design in the released teaser video. It gets redesigned headlamps with LED DRLs, a bold chrome bar, a fresh looking front grille design and chrome accents while fog lamps follow an oval design.

New front bumpers and well styled fog lamps are also evident. No other significant changes can be seen on its exterior except for a new chrome appliqué at the rear while the Mobilio facelift now rides on 15” alloy wheels. Exterior color was noted in a new Royal Blue.

Interiors of the 7 seater MPV sport some modifications as well. It gets some upgrades on dashboard and equipment level. The dashboard now features a similar design to that of upgraded Amaze and Brio, which are already on sale in India.

Engine options will continue to remain the same as today. These will be in the form of a 1.5 liter i-VTEC petrol engine offering 118 PS peak power and 145 Nm peak torque mated to a 5 speed manual transmission or CVT. It also gets a 1.5 liter diesel option generating 100 PS and 200 Nm via a 5 speed MT.

In Indonesia, it is only available with 1.5 liter petrol engine option. This is in the form of 1.5 liter iVTEC. Price in Indonesia starts from IDR 189.5 million (INR 9.7 lakh) for base manual variant. Mobilio E Manual is priced at IDR 210 million (INR 10.8 lakh) while Mobilio E CVT variant is priced at IDR 221 million (INR 11.31 lakh). Top of the line Mobilio RS Manual is priced at IDR 233 million (INR 11.93 lakh) while CVT is priced at IDR 243.5 million (INR 12.5 lakh).

Launch of the facelifted Mobilio in India is expected to take place in the coming months, post the launch of new Honda City facelift. The current Mobilio has noted a dip in demand due to which the company is offering a good discounts and benefits so as to boost sales. A facelift in this sort of a scenario would definitely add some impetus to sales figures for the company.
