TVS Apache RTR 200 FI launch price Rs 1.07 lakh – Arrives at dealership

Its been a long wait. First announced back in January 2016, the TVS Apache RTR 200 with FI has finally been launched in India. Price of the TVS Apache 200 FI starts from Rs 107,005/- Ex-Showroom (Delhi). It is only available in select cities across India. TVS has not released the list of cities where the new 200 FI is available. You can call your local TVS dealer and find out if the 200 FI is available in your city or not.

Sadly, the fully loaded variant with FI and dual channel ABS (with optional Pirelli tyres) is not launched yet. We expect this to be launched by 1st April 2018, which is when it is mandatory to have ABS in new motorcycles. Standard features aboard the 200 FI include front and rear disc brakes, fully digital instrument console, clip-on handle bars, LED pilot lamps, LED taillights and split seats.

TVS Apache RTR 200 is powered by a 197.75 cc single-cylinder 4-V engine which is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The carb version delivers 20.5 PS at 8,500 rpm and 18.1 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The fuel injected variant makes 21 PS at 8,500 rpm while the torque output is identical to that of the carb variant.

Though the difference in output figures is meagre on paper, the FI-equipped engine is smoother and more responsive in real world conditions. It has a better acceleration, and a much smoother performance. In numbers, the Apache 200 with FI does 0-60 kmph in 3.9 seconds, while the one with Carb does it in 3.95 second. 0-100 kmph is achieved in 12 seconds by both motorcycles. The motorcycle targets young riders who are looking for an affordable set of wheels that can handle commuting and touring equally well.
