I have recently been to The Park hotel, Somajiguda recently, and i am very grieved to tell you the experience that i had there. This is regarding my car which was crashed at The Park hotel, Somajiguda on 13/06/2017, because of the careless & rash driving of the valet driver at the hotel.
I have purchased my car to specifically suit my purpose and have retrofitted it with handle controls so that both me and a normal person can drive it. I have a full time driver and he drives the car as every other person.
– On 13th June the valet driver at The Park hotel, somajiguda has crashed my car, skoda rapid with registration no. TS01ED 3322 into a wall, due to his careless & rash driving. [This didn’t happened last 4 or 5 times when it was given for valet parking at the same hotel]. Watch the video below
– After that i went to the location of the accident and saw the car, it was in a very bad condition, radiator water is leaking from the hood. I spoke with the security manager Mr. sathyanarayana, who said that it is completely the mistake of valet driver and hotel will take the responsibility of repairing my car and get it delivered to me within 5-7 days.
– when i have asked for a written consent letter or mail from the hotel regarding the same, he assured me that you can trust loyalty of the hotel, as ours is a prestigious 5 star hotel. He gave me a valet ticket for my vehicle and gave me another vehicle honda city with registration no. AP BW 2743 as a replacement for my car. I trusted him and left the hotel as i was in a hurry.
– The security manager at the hotel shared my number with the valet vendor [who took the valet parking contract at the hotel] and i was forced to meet him. I was called to the hotel saying that there is a meeting with the finance manager (as general manger was on leave) and i was left unattended by finance manager in the lobby with the valet vendor and was suggested to discuss the issue & settel it with him. I immediately met duty manager Mr.Ankush mukherjee and spoke to him. I was surprised to know that, he was told the whole issue in a different way. The security manager has told him that i was demanding for an new car for the old one, which was false. this shows the proper communication and functioning of the hotel. I clearly said him that i have only two conditions
-1. the car must be repaired from a authorised skoda service centre &
2. I am not going to claim the insurance for the valet drivers carelessness.
which Mr.Ankush found it to be fair. He said that he would discuss the issue with the general manager and let me know. From that day there is no response from the hotel management.
– when my car was at the hotel parking lot even after 5 days of accident, i was forced to get it towed to the service centre by myself
– Instead of my various requests, mails, calls & attempts to reach the hotel management, i couldn’t reach anyone other than the reception.
-Trusting the false promises made by the hotel managrement i haven’t even filed an FIR at police station till date. Today i was told by security manager that u can proceed legally against the hotel as we can handle it quiet easily. And also threatened me of filing a theft case against me regarding the car which was given to me as replacement for my car.
I am very much disappointed by the behaviour of hotel management. They are not only denying to pay for the expenses of the car repairs, but also threatening me with a theft case. Today i am betrayed by the hotel for trusting them. I clearly know one thing that, a common man like me can’t fight against a 5 star hotel [ as already threatened by the security manager ]
As it is said in there site “Apeejay’s tradition of trust, reliability and fairness. Committed to doing good business” is completely disproved in my case. The only thing delivered is “the ideal space to create an unforgettable memories.??”. Their sophistication and the local art and culture is use to harass persons like me.
so please be careful while handing your car to valet parking.
