Volkswagen Ameo compact sedan which is priced between Rs 6.22 – 11.73 lakhs now gets more attractive to buyers this festive season. The company is offering discounts and benefits to the extent of Rs 85,000 on the Ameo.
These include a cash discount of Rs 50,000, exchange bonus of Rs 25,000 and corporate discount of Rs 15,000 on the VW Ameo Comfortline trim. The Highline trim is being presented with an Rs 30,000 cash discount, Rs 30,000 exchange bonus and Rs 15,000 corporate discount.
Volkswagen Ameo rivals the Ford Aspire, Maruti DZire and Honda Amaze. With these new discount offers, VW hopes to increase sales. The automaker has also introduced new Connect edition of the Vento, Polo and Ameo cars. VW Connect is an intelligent connected vehicle assistance, allowing customers to connect with the car system via an app on their smartphone through a Plug and play data dongle.
The dongle is fitted to the OBD port of the car and is connected via Bluetooth. VW Connect Edition is offered at no extra cost. Apart from this feature, Volkswagen has also introduced a new color option of Lapiz Blue.
Volkswagen Ameo is seen with 16” grey Portage alloy wheels, leather seat covers, aluminum pedals and ORVMs with carbon accents. It is also seen with a glossy roof and side foils, ‘Connect’ badging on its front fender and moon stone color radio surrounds along with glove box light and a USB charging port at the rear.
Volkswagen Ameo presented in 7 variants, 5 color options and in petrol and diesel engines is powered by a 1.0 liter, 3 cylinder, petrol engine which also powers the Polo. This engine offers 75 hp power and 95 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual transmission option and there is no automatic on offer. Fuel efficiency stands at 19.44 kmpl. The Ameo also gets a 1.5 liter TDI diesel engine producing 108 bhp power and 250 Nm torque mated to a 7 speed DSG automatic transmission with fuel efficiency going up to 21.66 kmpl.
