Aprilia SR150 scooter spied in 4 new colours – Launch Soon

Last year, Piaggio Group India launched the first Aprilia scooter in the country.

With about five million scooters sold annually, the Indian scooter market is one of the most competitive globally. To be a part of this growing segment, Piaggio India launched their premium Aprilia SR 150 scooter in India. With a starting price of just INR 65,000, this scooter was soon a hit among enthusiasts.

To give their consumers more options, the SR150 scooter will soon be launched in new colour options. Zigwheels has managed to spot four new colour options of SR150 recently. These new colour options are – Metallic Dark Blue, Metallic Silver, Metallic Green and Metallic Light Blue. All four are seen in the image below.

Aprilia SR 150 scooter is marketed as a cross, that combines a sports bike feel with a scooter’s readiness. Designed and engineered in Italy, the scooter are manufactured at Piaggio India plant in Baramati, Maharashtra.

Earlier this year, Mr Stefano Pelle, Managing Director, Piaggio India had revealed that they will launch more scooters in India in 2017. With the new spy shots, it can now be confirmed that he was referring to new colour variants of the SR150. Aprilia also has the SR150 Race Edition on sale in India. Compared to the regular SR150, the Race edition comes with sportier decals, red alloys, red seat, golden color front caliper, more aggressive muffler, RACE branding, and much more.

Stefano Pelle elaborates that the company’s launches thus far have been received favorably. Aprilia SR 150 launch has helped the company increase footprint in the two wheeler market to a great extent.

Aprilia SR 150 is fitted with 14 “wheels with five spokes, similar to Aprilia racing bikes that run on Moto GP championship circuits. The target customers are the dynamic urban youth who are upwardly mobile. Powered by a 155 cc engine, it delivers 10.4 hp and 11.4 Nm torque.
