Aston Martin recently launched their latest luxury car DB11, successor to DB9 (which was first launched in 2003) in India. The Britsh marquee is now expecting to double its sales in 2017.
Aston Martin currently sells cars under the brands Vantage, Rapide and Vanquish in India along with the new DB11. In order to fuel the growth, Aston Martin plans to launch a new product every 9 months. This in spite of the fact that no investment in India has been planned.
Over the last five years, Aston Martin has sold 70 cars in India. In 2015, the brand sold 8-10 cars in the country. In 2017, Aston Martin is aiming at selling 15-18 cars. The company has seen a positive response from their niche clientele in the recent months.
Aston Martin expects half of its sales to come from the recently launched DB11 in India. DB11, which is a part of the company’s Second Century plan, was unveiled earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show. The new DB11 represents Aston Martin’s future. Be it design, features, or power.
DB11 is powered by a 5.2 liter twin turbocharged V12 engine producing 600 hp peak power and mated to an 8 speed automatic gearbox sending power to rear wheels.
Aston Martin DB11, priced at INR 4.27 crores receives the same design language that was seen on the DB10 – the car which starred in the James Bond movie Spectre.
