Audi A6 Lifestyle Edition launched in India ahead of new-gen A6 arrival

Audi India has officially launched the new A6 Lifestyle Edition in the country. Priced at Rs.50 lakhs ex-sh, the new A6 Lifestyle Edition packs in the latest in technology and infotainment while safety features are at a premium. It comes at a time when Audi India is testing the new gen A6 in India, scheduled to launch in a few months.

Audi A6 Lifestyle Edition gets features such as Rear Seat Entertainment, Espresso Mobil and Entry Exit Lights with Audi logo projection. This Rear Seat Entertainment includes a fully integrated infotainment system on the road with features such as MMI Navigation, MMI Touch, Advanced Voice Dialogue System and Bose Surround Sound. Audi’s smartphone interface comes in with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Rear Seat Entertainment allows passengers at the rear to enjoy infotainment via networked tablets with a 25.65 cm touchscreen that can also work outside of the car. Coffee breaks get more enjoyable with Espresso Mobil while the Special Entry and Exit Lights project the Audi four rings onto the ground ahead in an attractive and unique feature. The lights also ensure easier entry into the car in the dark.

Among the novel technologies on the Audi A6 Lifestyle Edition is a Seven Speed S tronic transmission. It also gains Adaptive Air Suspension and Audi Drive System, thus enhancing driving pleasure while boosting luxury and the style quotient of the favorite Audi A6 which has already appealed to buyers in the country.

The edition is based on current Audi A6, which will soon be replaced by new gen A6, that is on test in India. New gen 2019 A6 takes design cues from the A7 and the A8. It measures 7mm longer, 12mm wider and 2mm taller than its current counterpart while wheelbase is also increased by 12mm to 2,924mm.

The new gen Audi A6 is lighter, more comfortable and more spacious. Once launched, new Audi A6 will compete with the Mercedes Benz E-class, BMW 5-series and Jaguar XF in the luxury sedan segment in the country.
