Bajaj Pulsar AS200 is characterised by its new face courtesy of the muscular semi-fairing, that supports the high-set touring visor, and houses newly designed headlamp with built-in projector light.
Technical specifications of the new Bajaj Pulsar Adventure Sport 200 include, perimeter frame holding the same 199.5 cc single-cylinder, 4-valve, triple spark, liquid cooled engine with Single Over Head Camshaft (SOHC), as in Pulsar 200 NS. Engine output figures are also the same – max power of 23.52 PS @ 9,500 rpm and peak torque of 18.3 Nm @ 8,000 rpm. There is no change in transmission as well, both bikes use same 6-speed gearbox.
Essential differences between Bajaj Pulsar AS200 and 200 NS, are the new half-fairing upfront and addition of projector headlamp. But the new model is touted to be a better alternative for adventure touring, largely because of its sizeable visor which is minuscule in the 200 Naked Sports variant.
Until the launch of AS200, Bajaj Pulsar 220F was taking care of this sports tourer segment, which is now overshadowed by the new model, as the premium is just around Rs. 5,000 over the older variant.
At the press conference in Pune today, Bajaj showcased their three new bikes – RS200, AS200 and AS150, all three of which were officially launched in India in the past few weeks. As neither of them were launched in Pune, today Bajaj took the opportunity to showcase the bike to their home-town dealers.

Pulsar RS200 ABS – 1,33,094
Pulsar RS200 – 1,21,069
