Called the BattRE GPSie this is a new and affordable e-scooter which comes in with internet connected features
BattRE GPSie is a new internet connected electric scooter launched by BattRE Electric Mobility along with Aeris Communications, headquartered in San Jose, California, with a country office in Delhi/NCR. It is priced at Rs.64,990, ex-sh. It receives a host of connected features with App based user interface. It is a SIM card based smart vehicle and is accessible through a smart-phone app.
Key features of the new GPSie e-scooter is its GPS tracking facility, remote immobilizer, Geofencing and secure park along with driving behavior and trip report features. There are also safety features such as tow alerts, crash alert and device status along with online alert that are seen on the new GPSie e-scooter.
The speeding alert feature sets off an alarm when speed limits are exceeded. It also has a system for alerts in the event of the vehicle crashing or when it is being towed away. All this information is available on a smartphone via the app or on a desktop through the portal.
Nishchal Chaudhary, Founder of BattRE Electric Mobility has stated that this e-scooter will be a game changer for ride sharing companies. It will appeal to riders due to its light weight, weighing just 60 kgs, its compact size and on-board conveniences.
BattRE e-scooter is powered by a 250 watt BLDC hub motor that accelerates it to a top speed of 25 kmph. It gets a 48V 24 Ah lithium ion battery pack that weighs just 12 kgs and offers a range of 65 km. Full charging takes around 2.5 hours with BattRE confirming that the battery has a life of 2,000 charging cycles and can last upto 7 years depending on use.
Suspension is via telescopic fork in the front and monoshock at the rear. For braking, it gets 220mm disc brakes at both ends, it sits on 10” alloy wheels fitted with tubeless tyres. Dimensions stand at 1,820mm length, 520mm width and 1,120mm height.
BattRE gps:ie scooters are on sale at company dealerships in cities such as Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Gujarat and UP. The company plans on opening dealerships in Pune, Vizag and Warangal. By the end of this year they planto have dealers in 50 cities of India. The e-scooter is also on sale via Amazon India and will be home delivered to the customer.
