A brand new Benelli TNT 300 has been transformed into a Ducati Panigale 899. These modifications have been carried out in Vietnam. The bike gets its body parts which were once of Benelli lineage, sporting parts from a Ducati Panigale 899.
Modifications have been carried out keeping underpinnings as seen on a Ducati along with frame and suspension as well as LED headlamps giving an overall Ducati stance to the Benelli TNT 300 to the extent that it would take a real trained eye to note the transformation.
Modifications have been carried out throughout the Benelli TNT 300, changing headlamp console, exhaust system, tail section and rear suspension all of which exude Ducati Panigale 899 resemblance. If an original Ducati Panigale 899 and the modified versions were put side by side differentiating between the two could be a rather difficult task. It is only on closer examination that experts would be able to note the distinct Benelli front discs and swingarm.
A ride on the modified Ducati will instantly show the rider that something is amiss as the engine continues to be a 300cc fuel injected parallel twin engine offering peak power of 38 bhp as against the Ducati Panigale engine which offers 146 bhp peak power.
Now why would anyone want to change a Benelli TNT 300 into a Ducati Panigale 899? The answer lies in its price. The Benelli TNT 300 is priced in India at INR 3.03 lakhs where as the Ducati Panigale 899 carries a price tag of INR 14.04 lakhs. But the modification job would have surely cost a few lakhs, making us wonder, was it really that good a price to pay?
