The fully faired Benelli Tornado 302 and compact Benelli Tornado Naked T which were unveiled at the EICMA 2015 have made their Indian debut at the ongoing Auto Expo 2016. Both motorcycles would be launched in the country sometime later this year.
The quirky Italian super compact Tornado Naked T comes out as a wicked little toy which rivals the like of Honda Grom and Kawasaki Z 125 in the international markets. Available in 125 cc and 135 cc guises, the Naked T combines the design traits of a street bike and a motocross equipment.
The 125 cc engine produces 11.7 PS and 10 Nm of torque while the slightly bigger powerplant is good for 12.6 PS and 10.8 Nm of torque. India is expected to receive the more powerful variant.
The bike features USD front fork, rear mono shock, 12 inch alloy wheels with 120/70 front and 130/70 rear tyres and a disc brake at each wheel.
