Benelli has some delicious exhibits at the EICMA 2015 motorcycle show and we expect every one of them to eventually make it to India through its local partner DSK Motowheels. Here is a brief overview of the Benelli TRK 502 and Leoncino Scrambler.
Benelli TRK 502
The imposing medium-displacement adventure tourer sports the quintessential styling with a tall front-heavy stance, a sharp beak, LED headlights, a tall windscreen and a huge fuel tank that can hold 20 litres of petrol. Underpinned by a steel trellis frame, the TRK 502 is powered by a twin-cylinder 500 cc liquid-cooled engine which complies puts 48 PS (maximum permissible power output for European A2 license holders) and 45 Nm of torque. Transmission is a 6-speed unit.
A long travel inverted telescopic front fork and an adjustable rear monoshock make it a purposeful adventure tourer. To be positioned below the four-cylinder TNT 600 GT, the TRK 502 will pick up a fight with the likes of Honda CB 500X. If launched in India, the motorcycle would create a strong niche for itself for there is no direct rival as of now. Expect a sub-5 lakh price tag in India.
Benelli Lencino Scrambler
Paying homage to the original Leoncino motorcycle is the modern interpretation of it with a Scrambler body style. The futuristic Scrambler features a 3D lion mascot on the front fender, LED infused headlamps, blinkers and taillight, digital instrument console, tastefully designed fuel tank and a minimal tailpiece.
The Leoncino Scrambler employs a steel trellis frame suspended by USD fork upfront and monoshock at the rear. Power comes from the same 500 cc twin-cylinder 48 PS motor that also propels the TRK 502.

The motorcycle is expected to enter production in the second half of 2016 and is likely to be launched in India as well as a CKD product.
