One of the two new entrants in the best selling two wheelers list for April 2015 is Bajaj CT100. Launched in March 2015, the 100 cc commuter bike from Bajaj has made it to the list of best selling two wheelers for the first time. It is at the 7th position with 53,331 units sold during the month.
Honda Activa sales in April 2015 were at 1,73,087 units, making it the No 2 bese seller in the country. Unlike Splendor, whose sales declined year on year, Activa sales increased. It reported an increase of 19% as on 1,45,719 units were sold in April 2014.
Another scooter on the list is Hero MotoCorp Maestro. It is on the No. 10 spot. Hero Passion which stood at No.3 for last month, saw a dip in sales by 9% with 1,19,491 units sold during the same month last year. TVS XL Super (moped) moved up a place from 7th to 6th position with 60,561 units sold during April 2015 as against 55,116 units sold in the same month of the previous year.
Basically, the list comprises of 5 products from Hero MotoCorp, 2 from Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), 2 from Bajaj Auto, and 1 from TVS Motors. The interesting thing to note here, all three Hero products in the top 5 – Splendor, Passion and CB Shine have reported a decline in sales, while both products from HMSI, have posted a positive growth in sales.
