It has been quite some time that the Munich-based luxury car brand confirmed that they are working on a new flagship SUV. Expected to be christened the X7, this new SUV was spied for the first time recently.
New BMW X7 SUV is riding on the same CLAR architecture seen on the current 7 Series sedan. Spied on test in Europe, images confirm that it is the biggest car in the company lineup.
Comfortable for up to 7 passengers, the BMW X7 will sport three rows of seats. Interiors will be premium, offering best in class space and comfort. On the features front as well, the new X7 is expected to be the most advanced and tech-laden SUV in its class. Expect a lot of those features to be carry-forward from the new 7 Series sedan.
Where engine specifications are concerned, no details have been revealed but in all likelihood the BMW X7 will carry on the same engine as seen on the 7er sedan. It could also be powered by a top of the line V12 engine, thus making it the first X model to receive one. Hybrid powertrains could also be on offer.
BMW X7 SUV is said to make its official debut in second half of 2017 as a concept. Expect the production spec variant to debut in 2018, while sales will commence by 2019. It will compete against the likes of Range Rover. No pricing details have been revealed as on date but one can expect a price tag of $145,000 when the BMW X7 is launched.
