India’s only supercar manufacturer, DC Design announced today that they are working on a more powerful version of the Avanti, their flagship. Called DC Avanti 310, launch of this limited edition variant will take place in April 2016, while price will start from INR 44 lakh.
DC Avanti 310 will be powered by a more powerful petrol engine. DC Design did not reveal whether it will be the same Renault sourced 2.0 liter mill which powers the regular Avanti or a completely different engine. In the existing Avanti, this engine is rated at 248 bhp and 340 Nm torque. One can expect that DC has tuned the same engine to deliver 310 hp on board the new Avanti 310 LE.
India’s first and only supercar maker, DC Design has plans to put India on a global map when it comes to supercars.
Limited to just 31 units, other interesting fact about this new DC car is that it will also be offered with an optional AMT gearbox! This makes DC Avanti 310 the world’s first ever supercar to feature an AMT gearbox. The standard transmission on offer is a six speed manual gearbox.
To be available in a choice of three colour options (all of which can be seen in the image gallery below) of Grey with Green, White with Blue, and Matte Grey with Orange, Avanti 310 also gets airbags as an option (existing Avanti does not get airbags, even as an option).
Other prominent features of DC Avanti 310 are ventilated disc brakes in the front and rear, Carbon fibre 2 piece front splitter, Carbon fibre sill extensions, Carbon fibre rear diffuser, Carbon fibre high downforce rear deck spoiler, Dark finished forged wheels, Suspension lowered by 20mm, Stiffer anti roll bars, Ultra-soft compound sports tyre, All Alcantara interior with sports seats, Alcantara steering wheel, TFT Instrument display with sport gauges Carbon fibre door sill covers, and LED Head Lamps and LED Tail Lamps.
