What happens if Ronaldo loses his football skills to a ball boy?

One of the best football player this generation has seen, Cristiano Ronaldo is the star of new Nike ad called ‘The Switch’.

The idea behind the TVC is straight from a Hollywood movie. During a game of football, Ronaldo crashes into a ball boy. The next morning, the ball boy wakes up, he is in Cristiano’s house, while Cristiano is in the ball boy’s house.

It is only when the two see themselves in a mirror, they realize what has happened. Ball boy’s soul seems to have exchanged with that of Ronaldo’s. While the kid is happy, Ronaldo is obviously pissed. He no longer has the luxurious home, and his exclusive fleet of super cars.

Talking about which, the ball boy soon gets the keys to Ronaldo’s Pagani Huayra, which he is going to drive to training that day. The boy takes no time to crash Ronaldo’s exclusive Pagani Huayra and has to drive the crashed Huayra to the training ground.

Long story short, the ball boy needs to fill the shoes of Ronaldo and Ronaldo needs to once again climb the ladders of becoming a great footballer once again. Other football stars seen in the ad are Barcelona’s Javier Mascherano, Manchester United’s Anthony Martial and Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.

All in all, a fantastic ad by Nike. Watch it below.

It is for the first time that Cristiano Ronaldo has become the highest paid athlete in the world. He has beaten the likes of Floyd Mayweather Jr, Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, Lionel Messi, LeBron James by £61 million in 2015.
