The company today issued an updated statement saying that it is actually the starting price of Linea petrol range (for the base 1.4L naturally aspirated FIRE engine). We have learnt through dealers that the Linea 125 S has an on-road price of around INR 11.5 lakhs (on-road, Delhi).

Original article dated 8-07-2016:

The Fiat Linea 125 S which was showcased at the Auto Expo earlier this year has been launched at a starting price of INR 7.82 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The most powerful petrol sedan in its class aims to attract some much-needed attention towards the neglected nameplate.

The Honda City rival is powered by a pumped up version of the 1.4-litre T-Jet turbocharged petrol engine which is tuned to deliver 125 PS and 210 Nm of torque.

Inside, enhancements come in the form of a new centre console that houses a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and several other additional features.
