Latest spyshots of the Fiat Tipo hatchback have emerged online, revealing its front fascia clearly for the first time. Now we can be sure that the hatchback and sedan variants look identical from the front bumper all the way up to the B-pillar.
The hatchback adopts a fresh design for the rear half, complete with a sculpted hatchdoor, sporty taillights that extend into the tailgate and a chunky bumper. The alloy wheel too will differ from the sedan.
Touted to be a replacement of the Bravo in the EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) region, the hatchback would be positioned as a cheaper alternative to the likes of VW Golf, Opel Astra, etc. The all-black interior with chunky steering wheel and a UConnect touchscreen infotainment system has been borrowed from the Tipo sedan (called as Egea in Turkey).
To be manufactured alongside its three-box sibling at Fiat’s Tofas plant in Turkey, the hatchback will be powered by a set of two petrol and two diesel engines with manual and automatic transmissions in the mix. Power outputs range from 95 PS to 120 PS.
