New Baleno will be on sale exclusively at Maruti NEXA outlets across India. After S-Cross, this is the second Maruti car to be sold via NEXA. Though the car is yet to arrive at NEXA dealerships, images from dealership yards confirm that dealers have already started stocking up the Baleno.
Prospective buyers will need to contact their nearest NEXA dealership. As of now, Maruti claims to have opened 80 NEXA outlets across India, and by the end of this year another 20 will be opened. In case a buyer reaches a regular Maruti dealership, they will be route the order to nearest NEXA dealer.
Maruti Baleno will be offered in a choice of a petrol and a diesel engine option. The diesel engine will be in the form of a 1.3-liter DDiS motor generating 75 PS power and 190 Nm torque while claiming fuel efficiency of 27.39 kmpl. Petrol Baleno will be powered by a 1.2 liter K Series engine capable of 84.39 PS power and 115 Nm torque offering fuel efficiency of 21.4 kmpl.
Both engine options will be offered in four variants – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. Transmission will be taken care by a five speed manual gearbox. In addition to this, the petrol engine will also be offered with CVT gearbox only on the Delta trim.
