Ford EcoSport aerodynamic design boosts fuel economy
Ford EcoSport, the new compact vehicle in utility vehicle segment, is what meets high levels of both fuel economy and enhanced technology. Ford EcoSport is the handiwork of Ford designers and engineers from over 16 countries who have come together to work on this new compact SUV which comes in with an aerodynamic design offering better fuel efficiency. Ford EcoSport was developed by global Ford Product Development Team headquarted at Camaçari, Brazil, which is one of eight Ford Product Development centers across the globe.
Engineers and designers from 16 countries together developed the vehicle. Interiors are spacious for upto five occupants, while at the same time offering exceptional cabin quietness and comfort. Infotainment features are also outstanding, with Ford SYNC voice control, keyless entry, Ford power start, parking sensors and hill launch assist. Ford EcoSport is being offered with world class engine transmission technology which is what contributes to better fuel efficiency. This SUV in the B Segment platform is scheduled to account for over 2 million units by mid decade. Annual global production volume is pegged at 275,000 units.
Its new 1.0 liter 3 cylinder EcoBoost petrol engine generates 120 PS power and 170 Nm peak torque. Auto emissions are low at 140 g/km while fuel efficiency is at its peak. The Ford EcoSport is designed to offer a smooth ride and is specially suited to offer an enhanced driving experience even across rugged Indian terrain.
The last few days saw Ford Design at the International Salon of Milan showcasing furniture Inspired by European style.Ford is the first auto manufacturer to exhibit within the Salone del Mobile exhibition. The 3 products it showcased were a chair, lamp, and watch, with Ford EcoSport design being highlighted.
