It is a blue/purple Ford Mustang GT, belonging to Rohit Shetty, director of the popular Bollywood movie, Singham that has drawn the attention of a crowd. Ford Mustang GT was launched in India this July with a tag price of INR 65 lakhs.
This recent acquisition by the director has been given a complete exterior makeover done up by Daljit Auto Design. Sporting a shade of Hexis Matte Blue, the GT receives an aftermarket Cervini bonnet, RTR grille with integrated DRLs and Roush side scoops.
Front is seen with a new grille design with D shaped illuminated inserts and Ford insignia in the center while DRLs in the headlamps get red highlights. At the rear, a distinctive rear spoiler, Niche 20” wheels and Borla Atak exhaust system are evident. The new Ford Mustang GT sits on 12 spoke alloy wheels in grey fitted with low profile tyres.
Shetty has refrained from touching the engine since the car is under warranty and hence the modified Mustang GT continues to be powered by a 5 liter naturally aspirated V8 petrol engine offering 397 bhp power and 515 Nm torque. Power is sent to rear wheels via a 6 speed SelectShift automatic transmission. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is achieved in 4.5 seconds while top speed stands at 250 kmph.
The recently introduced Ford Mustang GT has become the fastest-selling sports car in India with sales reaching 100 units in less than 1 month of launch. This modified Mustang is now added to a list of supercars owned by Shetty which also includes a Range Rover Vogue with red accents.
