It was in January 2014 that Hero had unveiled the new Dash scooter. Later in Sep 2015, the same scooter was launched in India, but not as Dash, christened as Maestro Edge. Now, Hero has yet again brought the same scooter back with the original name, Dash. And the same is now on display at the ongoing EICMA show in Milan.
New Hero Dash (Maestro Edge) scooter is be powered by a new four stroke, air cooled, single cylinder 111cc petrol engine generating peak power of 8.5 bhp at 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 9.4 Nm at 5,750 rpm mated to a CVT gearbox.
Heor Dash comes with a ground clearance of 155mm and kerb weight of 110 kgs. It has a fuel tank capacity of 6 liters. As a close competitor to Honda Activa, Hero Dash will receive a host of attractive features which will include USB mobile charger, LED tail lamps, side stand indicator and service due indicator.

Other goodies will include telescopic front forks, key with e-code, boot lid and dual tone mirrors. Dash will have an all metal body with alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. Turn indicators will be seen on its front apron while seat will be long with a big grab rail. Under seat storage lamp and digital instrument cluster will for its other features.
Hero Dash is produced on the same line where the old Maestro was produced until 2014. Hero registers about 44,000 unit sales of Maestro every month. Hero has two scooters in the 110 cc segment – Maestro Edge and Duet. Together, they compete with the likes of Honda Activa, Mahindra Gusto, TVS Jupiter, Scooty Zest, Suzuki Lets, and Yamaha Ray.
