Honda Grazia scooter sales cross 2 lakhs – Benefits of Rs 2,100 announced

Launched in November 2017, Honda Grazia is no stranger to achieving quick sales records. In 3 months of launch, the 125cc scooter reported 50,000 units sold, quickly finding a place in the list of ‘Top 10 Selling scooters of India’. In April 2018, Grazia sales surpassed the 1 lakh mark milestone. It took the company 6 months to get there. The next lakh units have been sold in 5 full months of sales.

Honda Grazia 125cc scooter is also being exported to SAARC countries and Latin America.Through September 2018, the company reported 13k units sold. Honda 2Wheelers India has a stronghold when it comes to scooters. Last week the company reported 2 crore units of Activa sold. The scooter is now in its 5th gen avatar, and continues to be a popular household name.

This success is in spite of rivals launching new scooters every few months in the country. Hero MoroCorp, is the largest 2 wheeler manufacturer in the country. They too are actively watching the space. Hero wants to beat Honda Activa and is keen to launch multiple new scooters in India.

In sustaining growth and encouraging skill development to sustain growth, HMSI has signed a MoU with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to set up 10 automotive laboratories in India. Honda will support 10 learning centres under NSDC with major focus on eastern states of India (Kolkata, Guwahati, Ranchi, Patna, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Vijayawada, Dehradun, Varanasi and Cuttack). The association looks to benefit at least 1,200 young students by next year.
