Honda’s long awaited hybrid supercar the Honda NSX marks its entry into the Tokyo Motor Show which opens to the public later this week.

Honda NSX hybrid will be offered with power and performance that puts it in the same league as the likes of Porsche 911 Turbo, Audi R8 V10 and Ferrari 488 GTB. It is powered by a 3.5 liter twin turbo V6 engine assisted by a hybrid electric system with three motors with a combined output of over 550 PS.

Mated to a 9 speed dual clutch automatic gearbox, the sleek Japanese supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 2.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 305 kmph. The new hybrid system in all-wheel drive format not only boosts acceleration rate but also contributes to enhanced stability, especially when cornering.

The NSX Hybrid supercar is capable of reaching triple digit speeds from rest in less than 3 seconds.

Honda NSX hybrid with a total weight of 1,725 kg offers four drive modes of Sport, Sport Plus, Track and an all electric EV mode ideal for shorter distances. The NSX is underpinned by spaceframe composed of a mix of high tensile steel and aluminum.

Order books for the new Honda NSX hybrid open even as its is on display at the Tokyo Motor Show among 40 other Honda vehicles. Honda’s theme at the show is ‘Go beyond imagination’ drawing special attention to the new NSX hybrid, the Clarity FCV sedan and Civic Type R.
