Hyundai Blue Link connectivity to feature in new Venue AT and DCT

Hyundai Motors India has elaborated on its global Blue Link connected vehicle technology which will feature in the new Venue compact SUV to be revealed on 17th April 2019. New Hyundai Venue will be India’s first connected SUV and features Hyundai Blue Link connectivity. As per company slides, Venue with be available in AT (automatic transmission) and DCT (dual clutch transmission). It is expected to be priced between Rs 8-12 lakhs and it will take on the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and the XUV300 in India.

Hyundai Blue Link comprises of 33 features out of which only 10 will be offered in India. These include Safety, Convenience, Connected and Vehicle Relationship Management. In terms of understanding more on the Blue Link connectivity, the automaker will be training a team of 615 Blue Link Wizards who would be specialists in this area and who will impart training to over 10,000 sales consultants at Hyundai’s dealerships and service touch points across the country. Hyundai will also install the Blue Link Simulation app at all dealerships so as to allow customers to get a better connected car experience.

In terms of remote access, Blue Link connectivity allows access to the car from any distance. Remote access permits horn and light control, find my car location, door lock/unlock, vehicle status check, share my car (app sharing), engine start/stop, and climate control.

In terms of safety, Blue Link offers SOS emergency assistance, auto crash notifications and assistance, road side assistance and panic notifications. Location based services will facilitate search and sharing of live locations, real time vehicle tracking, push map function from app or by call centre, and scheduling of linked destination setting.

Interactive voice recognition in India English, real time vehicle tracking along with 24×7 security in terms of stolen vehicle notification and tracking along with stolen vehicle immobilization will also be a part of the Blue Link connectivity features. Monthly car health reports, auto and manual DTC checks and driver behaviour information will also be on offer via this Blue Link app. Where its alert services are concerned, Hyundai’s Blue Link technology will also offer Geo fence alert, speed alert, idle alert, time fencing alert and valet alert.

These features are powered by a tamper proof device with a Vodafone Idea e-Sim with cloud based voice recognition. All features have been tested and find tuned and in the event of Blue Link no able to find a 4G network it will automatically switch to 3G or 2G networks.
