Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL), the country’s second largest automaker has announced discount schemes for June 2019. These discounts are on offer across the company’s portfolio which includes hatchbacks, sedans and SUVs. HMIL has reported de-growth of 6 percent in May 2019 sales which stood at 42,502 units as against 45,008 units sold in the same month of the previous year.
Starting with Hyundai Santro, the hatchback which was launched in October 2018 has found acceptance among buyers in the country. The discount scheme includes a Rs.20,000 exchange bonus along with a Rs.4,000 corporate discount and a gold coin weighing 3 grams.
Hyundai Grand i10, set to receive a new gen model by September 2019. It is currently being offered at a hefty cash discount of Rs.50,000, an exchange bonus of Rs.30,000 and special discount to government employees at Rs.4,000.
Hyundai Grand i10 has been on sale in the country since 2013. It was updated in 2017 and a next generation model is poised for launch sometime just ahead of the festive season in the country.Buyers also get a gold coin weighing 3 grams. The same discount scheme applies to the Hyundai Xcent at Rs.50,000 cash discount, exchange scheme of Rs.30,000 and Rs.4,000 government employee discount.
Hyundai Elite i20 and i20 Active premium hatchbacks are on offer through the month of June 2019 at Rs.20,000 exchange bonus and Rs.5,000 government employee bonus. Buyers of the Hyundai Verna can avail of a cash discount of Rs.30,000 and Rs.10,000 government employee bonus.
This cash discount scheme gets extended to Rs.1.25 lakhs along with exchange bonus of Rs.75,000 for the Hyundai Elantra which is due for a comprehensive facelift in the months ahead. Hyundai Tucson, a five seater SUV positioned above the Creta in company lineup is being made available to buyers at a cash discount of Rs.25,000 and exchange bonus of Rs.75,000.
The Hyundai Venue which has been recently launched is not included in this discount scheme as also is the best selling Creta. Post the launch of Venue, sales of rival cars have declined. Maruti Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Honda WRV are currently offered at heavy discount. Mahindra XUV300 is not offered with any discount yet.
