Hyundai Motors India has registered a 3.8 percent decline in domestic sales while exports increased 4.5 percent in October 2019. Domestic sales stood at 50,010 units in the past month as against 52,001 units sold in October 2018 while exports increased to 13,600 units as against 13,019 units sold in the same month of the previous year.
The company had introduced festive season discounts but even these failed to boost sales to more positive numbers. Extending these schemes to November 2019, the discounts are now on offer across the company range that includes models like Santro, Grand i10, Grand i10 Nios, Elite i20, Active i20, Xcent, Verna, Elantra, Venue, Creta and Tucson.
The second generation Hyundai Santro, priced in the range of Rs. 4.15 lakhs to Rs. 5.68 lakhs, is being offered with a Rs.30,000 cash discount along with an exchange bonus of Rs.20,000. The cash discount on the Hyundai Grand i10 is at Rs.40,000 while exchange bonus is at Rs.30,000.
The recently launched Grand i10 NIOS is only offered with a Rs.1,000 cash back and that too exclusively on online bookings done via the ICICI bank card. Hyundai Xcent discount for November 2019 is at a cash discount of Rs.60,000 along with a Rs.30,000 exchange bonus.
Hyundai Elite i20 gets a Rs.10,000 cash discount on the Era and Magnus trims going up to Rs.40,000 on the higher Sportz+ and Asta. Exchange bonus stands at Rs.20,000. The current generation Xcent is on its way out while the company is busy preparing the second generation Xcent which is based on the Grand i10.
Cash discounts on the Verna and Creta extend to Rs.20,000 and Rs.50,000 respectively while both come in with Rs.30,000 exchange bonus. In addition to this, Creta also gets freebies like free accessories, warranty, etc – depending on the dealer. The Creta was once the best selling SUV but the launch of the Kia Seltos and MG Hector have affected its popularity in this segment.
Hyundai Elantra was recently updated but it is the pre facelift version of the Elantra that is offered at a discount along with the Tucson. These two models get top of the range offers at Rs.1.25 lakh cash discount along with Rs.75,000 exchange bonus. Hyundai Motors is not offering any discount on the Venue, Elantra facelift and the Kona electric.
