Which car brand comes to your mind when you talk about munching kilometers. Not hundreds, not thousands, but lakhs and lakhs. Search online, and you will find many stories of car owner of brands like Toyota, Honda, Nissan; proudly stating how many lakh kms they have munched with their car without any trouble.
The latest car brand to join the milestone party is Hyundai. One owner in the US, Farrah Haines has created a new record. She has completed 16 lakh kms (1 million miles) with her 2013 Hyundai Elantra. Engine and transmission of her car is still intact, and has not created any issue till date.
Why would one person drive so much. Well, it’s part of her job. Farrah is a delivery driver and she loves to drive car. She purchased the Hyundai Elantra in 2013. Hyundai has shared a video to record her achievement.
This is what Hyundai has to say – “In just 5 years, Farrah Haines drove her 2013 Elantra 1 million miles. But most digital odometers stop before 1 million. So we joined her when she hit her milestone and created something special to mark her achievement: The Million Mile Emblem.” Watch the video below;
Speaking about the Elantra, there is a new Elantra in the market. It has already been launched in the US, and will soon be launched in India. The new Hyundai Elantra facelift promises thorough revision in exteriors and interiors with BS VI compliant engine.
