Hyundai Motor India has taken essential COVID-19 safety protocols to continue business at its dealerships and service centres
To help customers buy their favourite Hyundai amidst these difficult times, the South Korean brand has launched an all-new ‘Hyundai EMI Assurance’ program. Through the initiative, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) promises customers working in private organisations “peace of mind during uncertain times”. The program aims to aid convenience and enhance “positive customer sentiments”.
Hyundai has already shared its plans to re-open all dealerships and service outlets across the nation following guidelines from local health authorities. As of now, only the touch-points in Green and Orange COVID-19 zones would resume operation.
Once opened, Hyundai dealerships and service centres will follow efficient measures to maintain social distancing without affecting business. Like most other automakers, Hyundai has set up an online sales platform for all its products — Click To Buy.
Coming back to the industry-first Hyundai EMI Assurance program, the company has made this initiative to assist select customers with up to three car loan EMIs. Since COVID-19 pandemic has caused a huge scale of unemployment (or a growing uncertainty in job security) across private industries, Hyundai wishes to ease up the process of buying a new car.
Hyundai EMI Assurance covers customers under scenarios of unemployment due to organisational circumstances such as “poor financial health, acquisition, merger” or the effects of any law in concern. The program is applicable only for select models (mostly on the affordable side) purchased in May 2020. Customers who come under the category mentioned above are covered for a period of one year from the date of purchase (the first three months are excluded).
Speaking about the new financial assistance, Mr Tarun Garg, Director (Sales, Marketing & Service) at Hyundai Motor India Ltd, stated that the brand understands a customer’s aspiration to buy a new car. Being a “progressive, innovative and caring” automotive brand, Hyundai aims to ease the buying experience amid the challenging scenario. Even though it is best to wait until the current state of affairs settles down, buying a new vehicle might be an absolute necessity for some.
Major automakers operating in India are gradually re-opening their facilities with proper care and guidelines. Customers are also given the option to take vehicle test drives or deliveries at their residence in a safe and sanitised environment. Experts predict that this trend will continue for quite some time even if COVID-19 is completely eradicated — read more details.
