Hyundai Euro 2012 partnership: Provides 366 vehicles for the tournament

Hyundai Motors will be providing 366 vehicles for use by officials, guests, participants and others at the UEFA EURO 2012 football tournament to be held in June in Poland and Ukraine. At the stadium handing over ceremony, Hyundai Motors also unveiled their special national team buses which were individually wrapped in a special cheering slogan.

This slogan was the result of 16 nation teams who participated in the Be There with Hyundai contest which challenged contestants to come up with interesting slogans for the national team buses. This fleet of vehicles was handed over in preparation for the UEFA EURO 2012 games. They will offer high quality transportation services to teams, officials and guests during the entire tenure of the games.

Hyundai Motors will offer the Equus, Genesis, ix55, Santa Fe ix35, i40 and I 45 besides Elantra, the new generation i30 and 200 iLoad vans for the games which will commence from 8th June to end on July 1st 2012. This is not the first time that Hyundai Motors has offered their vehicles. The company has been actively involved with UEFA EURO 2012 as official automotive sponsors since 2000.

National team buses wrapped with fan-created slogans

Hyundai Motor announced today that it will provide 366 of its most exciting vehicles for use by UEFA EURO 2012™ officials, guests and others during the matches next month in Poland and Ukraine.

During the handover ceremony at Poland’s National Stadium in Warsaw, the company unveiled the official national team buses, each one wrapped with a fan-created slogan cheering on the teams of the 16 participating nations. Hyundai’s “Be There With Hyundai” contest allowed fans to submit slogans to adorn the national team buses. Fans began submitting slogans in December and the 16 winners were announced on May 7.

Attending the handover ceremony were officials from Hyundai Motor, UEFA and the local organizing committee.

To support the UEFA EURO 2012™ matches next month, Hyundai will hand over the following models: Equus, Genesis, ix55, Santa Fe, ix35, i40, Sonata, Elantra and the new-generation i30. In addition, Hyundai will provide more than 200 H1 vans.

Highlighting the handover were Hyundai’s luxury vehicles and the top performers of its European i-series, cars designed in Europe for European motorists.

Equus and Genesis are Hyundai’s top-of-the-line rear-wheel-drive luxury vehicles. New-generation i30, which debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show in September, is the newest version of Hyundai’s biggest-selling car in Europe, and is joined by i40, Hyundai’s European flagship.

The UEFA EURO 2012™ kicks off on June 8 and concludes on July 1. Hyundai is an official automotive sponsor of UEFA EURO 2012™ and has sponsored the UEFA EURO™ tournament since 2000.
