2015 Hyundai Genesis sedan rivals cars from premium brands like BMW, Audi and Mercedes Benz. Offered with three interior trim options and a range of 7 exterior colours in the UK, the new Genesis will compete with Audi A6, Mercedes E Class, and BMW 5 Series.
Hyundai Genesis on board features includes an 8” touchscreen infotainment system and a set of four cameras offering 360 degree view of the surrounding. Hyundai Genesis also boasts of head-up display, bi-xenon headlamps and world’s first CO2 cabin sensor to monitor CO2 levels inside the cabin. (rise in CO2 levels could result in drowsiness)
Though rivalling the German trio, the South Korean brand’s attempt is not at all bad. 2015 Hyundai Genesis sedan was the first and only rear wheel drive vehicle in its class to receive US Insurance Institute of Highway safety honour as 2014 Top Safety Pick. Loaded with safety features like Smart Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking and Smart Boot System that opens on detecting a smart key in the vicinity, Hyundai is sure the Genesis will be able to grab a good share in the luxury car market.
Interiors are spacious and comfortable thanks to a longer wheelbase, while seats are finished in quality leather. The 2015 Hyundai Genesis will be offered in two engine options – to include a 3.8 liter V6 producing 315 PS power and a 5.0 liter V8 offering 426 PS power. Both engines are mated to an 8 speed automatic transmission sending power to rear wheels.
The 2015 Hyundai Genesis sedan was also showcased in India. But the company is yet to confirm its launch in the country.
