Hyundai i20 Active, the best-selling cross-hatchback in the country, gets a facelift. Launched in India at a price from INR 6.99-10.01 lakhs, Hyundai i20 Active facelift gets a host of exterior and interior updates, even as the most striking is its new blue and white dual-tone paint job.
Colour options include Earth Brown; Sleek Silver; Fiery Red; and Polar White. Dual tone colour choices include – Earth Brown; Polar White and Marina Blue. i20 Active facelift is also seen with a new front grille, silver bull bar strip on the front bumper, alloy wheels and silver accents around front and rear fog lamps. Its rear end receives a matte black strip on the boot lid. It is also seen with roof rails, skid plat and black cladding on sides.
Interiors get minimal changes with a new grey color scheme and new 7″ touchscreen infotainment system. To match its blue and white exteriors, interior highlights in new Alps blue are also seen with blue color extending to AC vents, seats and gear knob.
The multi-function steering wheel handles phone functions, and audio system, wirelessly. The car sports silver finish skid plates, fog lamps, and projector headlamps, outside mirror repeaters, R16 diamond cut alloys, shark fin antenna, and circular rear reflector with reverse lamps. The rear garnish sports Active branding for a sporty look.
Hyundai i20 Active facelift continues to be powered by the same engine lineup as its outgoing model and is available in 7 variants – 4 petrol and 3 diesel. The 1.2 litre Kappa petrol engine offers 83 PS peak power at 6,000 rpm and 11.7 kgm peak torque at 4,000 rpm.
It also receives a 1.4 litre U2 CRDi diesel engine producing 90 PS power at 4,000 rpm and 22.4 kgm torque at 1,500-2,700 rpm. Both engines transmit power to rear wheels via a 5 speed manual gearbox.
