Help Hyundai name their new car, and you could win it free – Santro Cilantro?

Hyundai India has initiated a ‘Naming Campaign’ for the all new AH2 (codename of new gen Santro). Hyundai invites name suggestions from customers, which can be sent in through the company microsite, WhatsApp (8652000377/388/399), and SMS.

Hyundai’s Name and Win the Car contest is an online and offline activity that runs through 16th August 2018 to 25th September 2018. There’s no cap on the number of suggestions and individual can submit.

Celebrating their 20th anniversary, with the spirit of their iconic car – Santro.

The big winner will most likely be selected through lucky draw, and will be gifted a petrol, base model of the yet to be unnamed AH2. It would however be fun if suggestions are then voted on through a transparent public system.

And while there usually isn’t any undertaking to finalise/select a name which gets maximum number, it could in fact turn the more or less secret naming system into a more fun one. We could then upvote a boring or funny one into top spot.

We for one have quite a few suggestions beginning with ‘Santro Cilantro’. Clearly the Santro name worked well and we’d like to see it renewed in some form. Okay maybe not Cilantro but something that rhymes, or simply Santro V2, or whatever. Well, keep the names going, and make it count. We’re crap at naming, and you would do better, so, give it a shot, or not.

Upon final selection the winner will have to pick up the big win at a dealership. The car will be made available at prevailing price minus cost of car. This includes government levies, road tax, registration fees, Insurance, Goods & Service Tax etc. as applicable at the time of invoicing, and all other incidental charges. THere’s no possibility to upgrade or change variant or model of the winning car.
